Epidemiology Postgraduate (also offered online!) focuses on biomedical research into the spread of disease in human and veterinary medicine.
This Master's programme is not state funded.
Epidemiology Postgraduate is offered in two variants:
MSc Epidemiology Postgraduate: a postgraduate programme (1.5 years) for applicants who have already completed a postgraduate medical or biomedical degree, such as physicians, veterinarians, pharmacists, and candidates holding an MSc in Life Sciences. The MSc Epidemiology Postgraduate is taught in Utrecht;
MSc Epidemiology Postgraduate Online: this variant can be taken entirely online.
You acquire exensive knowledge and practical skills in epidemiologic research design and implementation, quantitative analysis and its application to human or veterinary medicine and public health. The knowledge and skills gained form a solid basis for health research and disease control programmes, including applications in developing countries. The programme comprises theoretical courses as 'Study Design' and 'Modern Methods in Data Analysis.' You can choose from five specialisations: Clinical Epidemiology, Veterinary Epidemiology, Epidemiology of Infectious Diseases, Pharmacoepidemiology or Environmental & Occupational Epidemiology.
